FishTank Live is a shared virtual aquarium streamed live. By using the site, adding a fish or buying credits you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Who can use it
You must be 13 or over to create an account or buy credits. If you are under 18, please check with a parent or guardian before spending money.
One person, one account. Accounts created to farm welcome credits may be removed without notice.
Fish, names and messages
Everything you add (fish names, messages, shouts, your display name) is shown publicly on the site and on the live stream, and may appear in clips we publish on social media.
Keep it family friendly. No swearing, slurs, harassment, adult content, advertising, or anything that impersonates another person. An automatic filter rejects a lot of this; a human may rename or remove anything that gets through.
We may rename or remove a fish, or suspend an account, where content breaks these rules or the law, or where an account is used to grief other players. Suspended accounts lose access; any fish they own keep swimming.
Fish are virtual. They can be hurt by other players' paid commands (never below 5 health) and die if they are not fed for a long time. That is part of the game, not something we owe you a refund for.
Credits and payments
Credits are a virtual currency: £1 buys 100 credits, wallets are capped at £500, and credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or withdrawn.
Payments are taken by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Credits are spent when you add a fish, feature it on the stream, or run a command. See the refund policy for what happens when a feature is cut short.
Prices may change; the price shown when you buy is the price you pay.
The stream and the service
The tank runs 24/7 but we do not promise it will never go down. We may change, pause or stop the service, and we may reset the tank if it becomes necessary.
We may feature any fish on the stream, at any time, without asking.
Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the site, automate actions against it, or bypass its filters and limits.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss of virtual items or credits, or for anything that happens because the stream or site is unavailable. Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights as a consumer in the UK.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. Questions? See the contact page.
